​Welcome to Five Gifts Breastfeeding & Lactation Support. My name is Nikki Jaramillo and I am an RN, BSN, IBCLC. If you are in need of breastfeeding support or guidance, please take a moment to learn a little more about my professional experience and education as a nurse, educator and Lactation Consultant.

 *Total of 20 years experience: Working in labor and delivery, postpartum and lactation, for over 2 decades, has afforded me the privilege of caring for a wide variety of birth experiences and medical challenges. I am familiar with the many situations that can arise and influence the breastfeeding process.

 *Experienced Community Educator:  I have been a breastfeeding and Prepared childbirth class educator for local suburban Chicago hospitals since 2020. 

 *International Board Certified Lactation Consultant:(2021) and previously Certified Lactation Counselor since(2011)

* Personal: I consider my own breastfeeding history, some of my most valuable "learning". I have nursed 5 children of my own, all with their own set of unique challenges. From adjusting to first time parenthood, to having a special needs cardiac/NICU baby, post c-section struggles, or the peace of a relatively normal breastfeeding child and then toddler, I have learned the breastfeeding relationship, is a journey. This journey is not meant to be traveled alone, nor is it always easy, but it is easier with guidance and support. I would love to be of support to you, as you work to achieve your own breastfeeding goals.
